The Whitestone Mennonite Church began officially in 1886, in a small country church east of Hesston. Mennonite and Amish Mennonite settlers came together to form one congregation and called themselves the Pennsylvania Mennonite Church.
In 1964, the congregation of the Pennsylvania Mennonite Church moved from the old facilities in the country to new facilities in Hesston, which they named Whitestone Mennonite Church. This move provided many opportunities to share our faith and as a result we have become a much richer and diverse people.
In front of the sanctuary, crosses designed by Paul Friesen remind us of the centrality of Christ and our commitment to follow Christ in life, even to death on a cross.
Our congregation is not defined by our building or by our traditions, but by our faithful response to God's love and the promise we have made in light of that love.
